Contact improvisation is a dance/movement form that emphasizes our ability to react to physical sensations and physical forces as we navigate our environment. In this workshop, we will move through space, bringing our awareness to other bodies, and exploring various possible interactions. No dance experience is required; just come in clothes that you are comfortable moving in, e.g. t-shirt and sweatpants. For participants 16 years old and above
Instructor profile
David Lim is a dance and theatre artist based in Kuala Lumpur. He has performed in various venues in Kuala Lumpur as well as internationally. He studied dance and contact improvisation with, among others, Nancy Stark Smith, Daniel Lepkoff, Karen Nelson and Scott Wells and has taught improvisation workshops in Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea and Germany.
Pre-registered participants must turn up 15 mins before the workshop commencement time. Failing which, allocated space will be released accordingly without prior notice.
