Butoh may not be a well-known to some but this Japanese art form rose to prominence in the late 1950s. In Malaysia, we do have our very own Butoh master by the name of Lee Swee Keong who has dedicated years to learning and teaching this art form.
Earlier this year, an open audition was held to recruit non-Butoh dancers interested in exploring this art form. Jess Liew and Foo Chiwei have been selected and undergone training under Master Lee Swee Keong. They will be performing with him at the Gala night as part of the Master+Murid programme.
Pre-registered participants must turn up 15 mins before the workshop commencement time. Failing which, allocated space will be released accordingly without prior notice. Pre-registered participants will be put on a guestlist. No ticket or confirmation slip is necessary. Read the full Terms & Conditions here.
