Go on a mission with young scientists, to safeguard wildlife and unravel the mysteries of the jungle.

  7. Slow Loris: Tagging a Tiny Primate Go on a night trek to catch and tag an adorable slow loris named Boss, with nocturnal primates expert Danica Stark.
  8. Crocodiles: The Perfect Predator “What does it take to catch a crocodile? Find out with Malaysian Kerisha Kntayya, one night on her Sabah-wide crocodile survey.
  9. Civets: Aromatic Animals Meet Meg Evans, who studies civets, which are targeted for their fragrant musk for perfume and Kopi Luwak, the world’s most expensive cup of coffee.
  10. Elephants: Tracking Giants Sometimes wildlife is as it should be – wild. In this final episode, go on a jungle trek with Malaysian Nurzhafarina Othman, a Bornean elephant specialist.

  4. Hornbills: Mystical and Majestic Named after their gigantic beaks, hornbills are some of the most recognisable birds in all of Borneo.
  5. Clouded Leopard: Capturing one of the World’s Rarest Cats The elusive and beautiful Sunda clouded leopard is one of the rarest cats in the whole world.
  6. Elephants: Following their Feeding Behaviour Despite being commonly referred to as pygmy, Bornean elephants are the largest land animal on the island.
  7. Sun Bears: Studying the World’s Smallest Bear Probably the cutest character in all of Borneo’s jungles, the sun bear is the smallest and least studied bear species in the world.

About the Artiste / Group

Season 1: On a mission with a dedicated team of young Malaysian and international research scientists to safeguard wildlife and unravel the mysteries of Borneo’s jungles. Environmental photojournalist, Aaron ‘Bertie’ Gekoski, follows a different scientist and animal per episode as they: tag a Sunda pangolin for the first time ever; catch baby crocodiles and huge pythons at night; gain intimate insights into the behaviour of nocturnal primates; track a herd of elephants, and much more.

Season 2: The world’s wildest scientists are back! Joining them to unravel the mysteries of the jungle is Borneo native, actress and student Alexandra Alexander. But out of her comfort zone, how will she cope in the second season of Borneo Jungle Diaries?!
