- Taking the Plunge – PADI Open Water Course Alex is stepping out of the Jungle with her Borneo Jungle Diaries adventures behind her and is taking the plunge as she learns what it takes to become a safe and responsible scuba diver.
- Exploring Tunku Abdul Rahman Park – PADI Open Water Course Alex makes her first Open Water boat dives and not only comes face to face with an endangered hawksbill sea turtle but also one of the world’s most venomous snakes – the banded sea snake.
- High speed diving – Turtle Rodeo Alex joins the Marine Research Foundation Team, led by Dr. Nicholas Pilcher, and takes to the high seas to sail up to Mantanani Island to join in on a turtle rodeo all in the name of science and sea turtle conservation.
- Fisherman for the day – Turtle Excluder Devices Alex joins Dr Nick Pilcher and MRF scientist Liyana on a road trip from KK to Sandakan to become a fisherman for a day and learn how Turtle Excluder Devices save sea turtle lives on a daily basis.
- Sabah’s Turtle Islands – the best in SE Asia Alex sees first-hand the complete Sea turtle life cycle from the mother sea turtle laying eggs on a beach at night to the fresh emergence of the turtle hatchlings and race to the open sea.
- Big Brother is watching – How drones help turtle conservation Alex heads back to Mantanani with MRF Scientist Jonathan to learn all about remote aerial surveying and how to fly a drone.
- Time-lapse cameras help save Sharks and Rays Alex returns to Sandakan to meet MRF scientist, KC, who has become a bit of a technology wiz through the innovative use of remote time-lapse cameras to monitor fishing trawlers and the their catch.
- PADI PROJECT AWARE – Dives Against Debris Alex and Mark are joined by all of the members of the MRF team and dive below the waves to collect marine debris and marvel at the incredible marine life that call the coral reefs their home.
