Multi-award winning Hemidemisemiquaver began their journey as church musicians before pursuing their lifelong passion for music. They began exploring various gigs including playing at old folks homes. The humbling experience ended up opening doors for them.
Hemidemisemiquaver will be performing a selection of crowds’ all-time favourites, so don’t miss their performance!
About the Artiste / Group
The Hemidemisemiquaver Quartet started as just 2 violinists, 1 violist and 1 cellist playing together for church. They then decided to pursue their lifelong passion of chamber music together, playing in various gigs and even an old folks home.
Under the tutelage of Ms Ling Liyen, they continued to grow their chamber music skills and participated in various national and international competitions. They won Gold Prize at the ISEC Strings Competition, Gold With Honours Prize at the SRIMF Chamber Competition and 1st Prize at the Euroasia Strings Competition Ensemble Category. Its members are also active in various orchestras such as Eugene Pook Orchestra Academy (EPOA) and The klpac Orchestra.
Currently, they are under the tutelage of MPO players Ms Ling Yunzhi and Ms Fan Ran to pursue their dreams as a string quartet moving forward.
