Originally called Lipstick, the band MASDO decided to change its name to represent the genre of 60’s pop music.
Inspired by the music of P.Ramlee, Masdo is heavily influenced by P.Ramlee, A.Ramlie & The Rhythm Boys, Siglap Five, The Wonders & The Last Shadow Puppets to name a few. Catch MASDO and other bands under Soundscape Records at #YSDAF2023!
About the Artiste / Group
Masdo was established in the early 2015 and consists of 4 band members Ali Sariah (Vocal/Guitar), Asmawi(Guitar/BV), PutuCeri (Bass/BV) and Azham Ahmad (Drum).
Their first single titled “Bunga” released in 2016 gathered 2 million views on YouTube within 2 months of its release. The single was included in Masdo’s first album released in 2017, titled “Selamat Tinggal Pujaan.”
Their second album “Jalan Abbey” was released in 2019. “Janji Manis” a single from their second album went viral in Indonesia when more than 8 million followers used the song in their TikTok.
