Emerging from Kuala Lumpur’s hazy musical depths in early 2023, commemorate is a 5-piece ensemble creating their own ethereal soundscapes, while taking heavy influences from shoegaze titans DIIV, My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive and infusing modern pop and post rock sensibilities. commemorate blends swirling guitars and dreamy vocals to create a hypnotic yet weightless sound, a longing that swells and fades gently.

Each member has worked on various past and current musical projects spanning various genres like 41, Crack Guilty, Damage Digital, Epaulard, i/am/rain, KLPHQ, orbitcinta benjamin, Reset to Zilch and Spacebar Collective among others, each experience bringing its own unique perspective on this sonic journey.

Currently signed to Indonesia’s Lamunai Records, the band recently released their self-titled album as a testament to their beloved sound, to much critical acclaim.
