#FestivalHighlight. Pondok by the Interior Architecture students of the Malaysian Institute of Arts (MIA) is a visual arts installation commissioned for YSDAF 2025.
The idea of a pondok — a small, humble shelter — serves as a powerful symbol of community, unity, and shared joy within a neighbourhood.
In this modest space, the installation invites us to reflect on the warmth of coming together, where strangers become friends and bonds are built like family — reminding us that even the simplest of structures can hold the richest connections.
About the Artiste / Group
As upcoming interior designers, they are honoured to be part of the installation design for this celebration due to their love and passion for discovering and exploring different designs. They will maximise their creative inspiration and passion for this event, because they are obsessed with art and design.
