#Festival Highlight. YSDAF 2025 is proud to premiere Arsyad Azrai’s Dollah. Some may have caught Act One during the Kampung Tour at seven locations around Peninsular Malaysia. They can now catch Act One and Act Two as the full work will performed at the Urban Tour at all three locations.
This engaging and relatable one-man show tells the story of Cikgu Abdullah – Teacher, Headmaster, and family man – through the eyes of his son. From a strict but loving childhood all the way through adulthood, Dollah explores the influence our parents have on us, from the lessons we take to the mistakes we learn from.
Dollah is based on true stories about the writer’s grandfather and father lives, both who were teachers.

Since its inception in 1989, The Actors Studio has been presenting groundbreaking theatre in Malaysia.
