#Festival Highlight. “Cerita Kita” is a series of interactive installations developed as the culminating expression of the Kampong Tour program—a collective storytelling space that brings together the voices of rural communities. Rooted in the Ceritaku (“My Story”) Human Library initiative, the project draws from interviews and stories gathered from seven distinct villages, transforming these individual narratives into a shared, immersive experience.

As part of the arts festival’s outreach initiative, these personal stories are reimagined through interactive media—inviting audiences to engage with them in a more personal and participatory way. By weaving together the voices, memories, and landscapes of these communities, Cerita Kita shifts the focus from Ceritaku (My Story) to Cerita Kita (Our Story). The installation invites visitors to explore stories deeply connected to place and identity, while also offering them the opportunity to contribute their own.

Through interactive elements, participants are encouraged to engage with the installations and add to the growing archive of lived experiences. As more voices are shared throughout the festival, the installation evolves into a dynamic digital world of collective memory—continuously shaped by those who enter it.
