Blackout Poetry (11 am – 1:30 pm)
Transform old pages into personal poems by blacking out words and highlighting the ones that speak to you. This mindful experience fosters creativity and self-expression, and offers a space for self-reflection, a sense of personal voice and meaning-making.
Perfect for visitors of all ages and backgrounds, it’s a gentle, soothing way to slow down, nourish your wellbeing, and connect with your inner self.

Session 2: 12.30 pm – 1.30 pm
Process Painting emphasises the journey of creation, fostering self-expression and creativity through an intuitive, judgment-free approach to painting that encourages personal growth and emotional exploration. Process Painting highlights the importance of painting as a natural, instinctive process, promoting connection, being active, taking notice, learning and giving for mental well-being.

About the Artiste / Group
At KitaReka, creativity is at the core of everything they do, encouraging self-expression and personal fulfillment through evidence-based practices that nurture the mind, body, and spirit. They envision a space where connections are made, ideas are born, and social capital is cultivated—a community rooted in inclusivity, empathy, and mindfulness.
As a community programme by HumanKind, a registered social enterprise focused on nurturing emotional and mental well-being, they create supportive, empowering environments using creative arts, evidence-based methods, and asset-based community development. Their team of mental health professionals—clinical psychologists, play therapists, art therapists, and counsellors—works alongside trained volunteers to foster resilience, strengthen social bonds, and drive lasting, positive change in the communities they serve.
