Despite having uncontrolled and unpredictable seizures coupled with learning / developmental challenges, Janet was driven to strive for financial independence using her interests and skills. In 2011, she set up her own business selling her artwork, home-baked cookies, souvenir items, clothing and accessories.
She is now the proud owner of Janet’s Corner and holds a Diploma in Small Business Management. With her success, she is now an icon of inspiration and hope for the differently-abled community. Since the start of her business, Janet has been and still is donating 10% of all her sales to a children’s home for the abused, underprivileged and/or orphaned children. This is her way of contributing back to the very society that has given her the opportunity to be who she is today.
