Deafhood is a new work created for YSDAF 2023. It gives us insight to what a Deaf person experiences during different times of their life. This theatre piece consists of 3 main performers telling about the Deaf person’s daily life and how they cope in the hearing world through relationship, communication and accessibility. The audience will learn some BIM sords (sign words) from the deaf performers as well as learn how to build a more inclusive society. The theatre will end with an unique and beautiful poem in BIM.
