Excavation

Day 1: 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm

Day 2: 7.00 pm - 8.00 pm

Studio 7

Excavation is an excerpt from their current developing work of “ANGGOTA”. In this piece, two bodies attempt to excavate what is being carried within, what is flowing through, what is inherited, and what they want to own and reimagine in their physical presence. A main feature and medium of carriage is voice — a part of their body they feel most distant from, and also a part of their body that is deeply connected to the women before them.

This piece is both a tribute and a departure, holding space for this body and the bodies before them, and putting to rest certain embodied beliefs. Care is by choice, driven by taking ownership of being a present member of this lineage, to shape what they will embody forward. The performers reconsider their bodies as members–with agency and responsibility–of a larger body.”
