Intrigued by Kompang? Come to this workshop to learn the very basics of this traditional instrument! We’ll be covering fundamental moves and how to take those moves further with an ensemble. You can expect a practical lesson where you’ll apply your learnings right on the spot, so get prepared for your hands to turn red!

About the Artiste / Group
Danniel Iskandar is a freelance actor, emcee, host, and moderator.
He started dabbling in the performing arts while he was studying at Taylor’s University where he completed ‘Foundations of Acting I’ and ‘Foundations of Acting II’ under the guidance of Ms. Pat Chan. He also auditioned and was selected to be part of The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre’s (klpac) iconic Theatre for Young People (T4YP) programme and underwent intensive training from 2020 to 2021 which culminated in the acclaimed production of The Emperor’s New Clothes or How the Procession Has Got to Go On, directed by Tung Jit Yang, in 2022.
Recently, he was stage manager for “The _ Life Of Jane(s)”, which was the finale show of MonStar Awards 2022. He has been an Assistant Teacher at The Actors Studio Academy @ klpac since 2022.
