Do you have aging loved ones at home and want to help improve their wellness? If yes, check out these workshops.

#YSDAF2023 presents two workshops by Malaysian Parkinson’s Disease Association:
Saturday, 19/8/2023: Physiotherapy for Parkinson’s
Sunday, 20/8/2023: Dance for Parkinson’s

These workshops are an opportunity for the wider community to participate in an actual Dance for Parkinson’s class with members of Malaysian Parkinson’s Disease Association where rhythm and movement helps beat Parkinson’s. Suitable for a diverse group of individuals who love dancing seated or standing. Katy Cheong, who has participated in Dance for PD workshop designed and produced by the Mark Morris Dance Group, Brooklyn, USA will be facilitating the dance.

Fallen is a common problem not only among people with Parkinson’s but also the elderly population. Tarun Amalnerkar, a physiotherapy lecturer will be teaching the participants balancing exercises in fall prevention. Suitable for all who have aging loved ones and elderly who want to learn about balancing and fall prevention to help improve their wellness or quality of life.
