Timeline (Rhythm and Reflection)

Day 1: 11.00 am - 8.00 pm

Day 2: 11.00 am - 8.00 pm

Front Lawn

The installation is located on the front lawn and serves primarily as a ‘facade’ for the event. It is strategically placed along the path that the audience will pass through before entering the event space.

Their design concept embodies the themes of rhythm and reflection, where the structure progresses from dense to loose. With tightly placed frames that are faster to reach, it signifies the past that went by fast. The loosely placed frames takes longer to reach, representing the future that seems far and out of reach. The rhythm element can also be seen in the progression from short to tall and narrow to wide. These both signifies that although the past seems suffocating and oppressed, the future might be approaching towards a freer era.

The reflective element is to create an infinity effect, where the mirror appears to have an inifinite path inside it, signifying a past that has been gone through and a future awaiting ahead. The mirror also reflects the rhythmic structure, which indicates there was and will be ups and downs during the past, present and future. The mirrors that reflects the structure connects the path and shows a complete timeline of the past, present and future.
