Ruwano Handpan Studio will present a trio performance at YSDAF 2023 comprising Handpan, Piano, and Djembe. Handpan player Jasper Tan is the main arranger of the performance repertoire, with assistance from pianist Jaylen Goh and Djembe player X who assisted in arranging the pieces.
The compositions are created with a combination of handpan and piano arrangement techniques for YSDAF 2023. This fusion of new-era handpan style, classical piano, and ethnic rhythms of Djembe will bring four original pieces of different styles to you.

About the Artiste / Group
Ruwano Handpan Studio was established in early 2022, dedicated to promoting and educating the art and music of handpan, as well as offering systematic piano lessons. Our studio provides a range of courses for both beginners and advanced learners, in both individual and group settings.
Jasper Tan, the founder of the studio, has 9 years of handpan performance experience and 5 years of teaching experience, with a systematic understanding of handpan culture. Our main piano instructor, Jaylen Goh, has 18 years of piano experience and 5 years of teaching experience, offering students high-quality teaching and a good learning experience. Our studio also offers customized handpans of different types and materials to meet the needs of learners at different levels and with different musical styles.
In the first year after the studio was established, we hosted and participated in about 50 different music festivals and cross-genre performances, including Tiny Projects Handpan Concert, Music Ring Malaysia Handpan Concert, Global Handpan Online Concert, Mangroove Music Festival, Wushu Fusion Dance Theatre Performance, I-City CNY Session, OM Yoga Retreat Live Session, One Utama Raya Session, and more.
Finally, our studio is committed to promoting and inheriting the culture of handpan, spreading the beauty and uniqueness of handpan art and music through education and performance. We welcome all those interested in handpan music, whether beginners or advanced enthusiasts, to find their own joy and feelings here.
