“The Huminodun’s Sacrifice” is a new short play premiering at YSDAF 2023 about the Huminodun of Sabah which combines storytelling, physical performance and music. It is based on a mythical character in Dusun legend called Huminodun who sacrificed herself to save her people from famine and ensured a bountiful harvest for the tribe. This paved the way for the Harvest Festival celebrations that have been celebrated for generations.
